Framing
Your poster is a testament to the earliest printing techniques ever invented. It is produced in our workshop in Provence. We do not use ink. The design, engraved on a metal plate, is pressed firmly into the paper to create a relief, known in printing as "debossing."
To engrave this metal plate, a digital black line drawing is essential. Therefore, we draw all designs on a graphic tablet with a digital pen, just as we would on paper. We place an aluminum pigment marking film between the paper and the metal plate. When pressure is applied to the paper and the plate is hot enough, the pigments are transferred into the depression created by the high pressure.
Our papers are "soft" art papers, meaning they can accept deformation without tearing. They are made from virgin pulp, dyed in the mass for a deep color, meet environmental standards in the best possible way, and are 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Without a doubt, they are the noblest papers we have ever had the chance to work with.

The production settings and preparations are manual and artisanal; no digital guidance is used, as our platen presses date back to the 1950s. Their unparalleled robustness and ingenious mechanics make these presses the natural guardians of this Art, which conveys elegance and quality like no other printing technique: Letterpress.
